Guro Reiten extends her contract with Chelsea

Chelsea have confirmed the extension of Guro Reiten's contract until 2026, after the option was triggered.

The Norwegian international signed for the blues in May of 2019 after leaving LSK Kvinner, where she won a league title in 2017, and a Norwegian cup in 2018. Alongside this, the winger was the Toppserien's regular season top scorer in 2017 with 18 goals, and in 2018 won the Toppserien Player of the Year and Goal of the Year awards. Reiten left LSK Kvinner with 53 appearances and 51 goals under her belt.

Since joining the London side, the 30 year-old has made 177 appearances and recently surpassed 50 goals. The left-footed winger has a 78% pass success rate, and is the fifth all time top goalscorer in the Women's Super League.

Reiten has since won five WSL titles, three FA cups and two League Cups with Chelsea.

On the international stage, Guro Reiten is a pivotal player for Norway, making 97 appearances and scoring 21 goals.
